1What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help a website function, keep you signed in, and remember your preferences. This policy explains how The Storemate uses cookies and similar technologies.

2How we use cookies

We use cookies to keep you securely signed in and to make the platform work, and - only if you agree - one analytics cookie that helps us understand how The Storemate is used so we can improve it. We do not use any advertising cookies, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

3Types of cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary cookies - used for authentication (keeping you signed in), session management and security (such as protection against cross-site request forgery). These cannot be turned off without breaking the service.
  • Functional cookies - remember your preferences and settings to improve your experience.
  • Analytics cookies - optional, and set only after you accept them. We use Google Analytics to measure how the platform is used - which pages are visited, which steps of setting up a store people complete, and where they run into trouble - so we can fix what is not working. We do not send Google your name, email address, phone number, or any of your store's business data, and we do not use these cookies for advertising. This data is retained for 14 months.

4Consent

Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, as they are essential to provide the service you have asked for. Analytics cookies are optional: nothing analytics-related loads until you accept, and choosing Reject is a single click in the same place as Accept. You can change your mind at any time - withdrawing is as easy as giving - using the button below, and we re-ask everyone at least once every six months. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat that as a refusal and do not ask.
